Volunteer event at the Oregon Food Bank
The DCO was excited to go back to the Oregon Food Bank for another meaningful and successful event! 10 Dartmouth alums and family members gathered on April 18th; the event and the timing were inspired by Dartmouth’s Season of Giving.
Over the course of two hours, we helped sort and pack onions and potatoes. Together with other volunteers working during that shift, we helped repack 13, 420 pounds of vegetables, which contributes to comes out to 11, 183 meals, or 329 meals per volunteer! All together, that means that the DCO contributed to over 3290 meals! It feels good to do good!
The event was organized by Melaura Wittemyer ‘92. Keep an eye out for our next volunteer opportunity!
