New Student Send-Off a Chance to Welcome Students and Families to the Fold
The Dartmouth Club of Oregon hosted new freshmen students and their families. Before they set off for Hanover, 4 students got a chance to meet each other and current students, ask questions about Dartmouth, and start building those bonds that keep us all connected to the College.
Summer Picnic: Camaraderie, Food, & All Things Dartmouth
The Dartmouth Club of Oregon held its annual summer picnic in Portland’s Peninsula Park. The event featured food, merriment, and camaraderie for about 50 attendees — alums, their families, and some freshmen about to set off on their Dartmouth adventure!
May Ivy+ Happy Hour: Green Key Edition
The Dartmouth Club of Oregon sponsored its first Ivy+ Happy Hour on May 21st, to roughly coincide with Green Key weekend. The Ivy+ Happy Hour is held on the third Thursday of every month, and brings together alums from Ivy and Ivy-adjacent schools. The Dartmouth-sponsored Ivy+ Happy Hour: Green Key edition was exceptionally well-atttended.
Volunteer event at the Oregon Food Bank
Ten Dartmouth alums and family members volunteered at the Oregon Food Bank on April 18th.
2025 Holiday Party
The annual Dartmouth Club of Oregon Holiday Party is a cherished Club tradition and a highlight of the year!
On December 6, nearly thirty alumni and family members gathered at the lovely home of Melaura Wittemyer ‘92 to enjoy some holiday cheer.
Volunteer event at the Oregon Food Bank
Eleven Dartmouth alums and family members volunteered at the Oregon Food Bank on October 11th.
2025 New Student Send-off!
We held our send-off event for new students; this year, we welcomed six new students from Oregon and SW Washington.
2025 Summer Picnic a Roaring Success!!!
This year, the DCO resurrected an old tradition — the Summer Picnic!
On July 12, over 50 alumni and family members gathered at the Elephant House shelter in Washington Park to enjoy each other’s company, refreshments, and drinks.
Açaí for Alumni!
Ivy+ League Alums & Families are invited to enjoy 25% off at Carioca Bowls Açaí Café this summer! Local alum Richard Matusow ‘93 owns Carioca Bowls in NE Portland and is offering a discount to alumni for the summer (through June 15th).

January Happy Hour
Lots of fun was had at the January Happy Hour — with alums coming from as far as Eugene and Corvallis!

We had a fantastic showing at the Dartmouth Club of Oregon’s Holiday Party this year! Nearly fifty alums and family came to share food and good cheer at the beautiful home of Melaura Wittemyer '92. The pictures speak for themselves!
2024 Annual Newsletter
Our club continues to grow with more events than ever, as we look for more opportunities to offer different types of events, and new locations outside the Portland metro area. Thanks to everyone who has participated in the past year. … .We love having opportunities for our alumni to meet up and enjoy each other’s company.
Sip and Paint!
The Dartmouth Club had a fun evening painting their own versions of Dartmouth Hall at our Sip & Paint event at Bottle and Bottega!
Packing kits for Portland Street Medicine
The Dartmouth Club spent an evening packing kits of basics for the volunteer health professionals who care for the medical needs of Portland's homeless population.
DCO recognized by the college!
This year, the club was recognized by the college’s Communities Executive Council with an award! We were one of several clubs recognized, out of the 100+ class, regional, and affinity clubs.
